Goals

I have been going over my goals and thought it would be a good idea to post them  here. In doing so, not only do I get to make them tangible, but I also hold myself accountable.

When I first began my weight loss journey in December of 2011 I weighed 308 lbs. I am now down to 218 lbs, which is below my original goal of 220... I have since then re-evaluated my goals and decided I want to get down to 199 lbs. At least for now.

The last 32 pounds came off as a result of a ketogenic low-carb diet, which I don't think I want to stay with forever. So I plan to change things up once I get to my new goal and either switch to macro cycling or paleo.

My current goal is to weigh 199 pounds by Tuesday, September 24, 2013.

Once I have done this I will modify my diet to either macro cycling or paleo. I know that once I re-introduce carbohydrates into my diet, I will regain some of the lost weight. I am comfortable with that and will re-evaluate body weight goals around this fact. In any event, I will do more weight training and attempt to gain muscle and improve my physique and strength. I will re-evaluate my goals at this time, focusing on body fat % rather than weight.

I weigh in every Tuesday morning and I will post those weigh ins here. I also plan to post progress pics at some point in the future, but I am reluctant to do so until I have reached my goal so I can show just how much progress I have actually made - and also so I don't have to be as embarrassed about the ones I took when I was at my heaviest.
